Ravanija is an old traditional dessert which is widely prepared in all countries that were under Ottoman empire. It's one of the most delicious desserts, it's easy to prepare and a must try sweet. You can't usually stop at one piece so It's the best to take the whole ravanija and eat directly from the baking tray lol.

For the dough:
- 5 eggs
- 10 tablespoons sugar
- 10 tablespoons semolina
- 5 tablespoons flour
- 1 baking powder (10 g or 2 teaspoons)
- 800 g sugar
- 400 ml water
- 1 vanilla sugar (10 g)
- Mix eggs and sugar with a mixer. Then add semolina, flour and baking powder. Mix until the mixture is even.
- Put in a baking tray 25x30 or maybe a little larger and put in the oven to bake for around 20-25 minutes at 180 C degrees. Check with a toothpick if the biscuit is baked.
- Once you bake the dough, leave to cool.
- For syrup: Put sugar, water and vanilla sugar to a boil in a pot at low temperature for around 15 minutes. When the syrup is ready, pour on previously cooled dough. Put some coconut flakes on top to decorate.
