STIR-FRY PORK & VEGETABLES

This is a quick recipe for delicious main dish, it's not traditional, but it's part of my kitchen for many many years.

Ingredients:

  • 300 g pork strips
  • 2 tablespoons veg. oil
  • ½ cup onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • ½ cup bean sprouts
  • ½ cup snow peas
  • ½ cup mushrooms, sliced
  • ¼ bamboo shoots, sliced
  • ½ cup celery, sliced diagonally
  • ½ cup carrot, sliced diagonally
  • 20 ml light soy sauce
  • 1 chicken stock cube, crumbled
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice

 Preparation:

  1. Heat half the oil in a wok or panl, add pork and cook until it changes color. Remove from pan. 
  2. Add the rest of the oil to the pan, add onion and garlic and stir-fry for 2 mins. 
  3. Add celery and carrot and stir- fry 4 mins. 
  4. Add remaining ingredients and stir-fry for 5 mins. 
  5. Return pork to wok, stir to combine and warm through. Serve with cooked rice.
Tips: You can add various vegetables according to your taste, I always experiment :)
