Bajadera is one of those cakes that anyone has heard about. Bajadera is definitely something without Christmas can hardly pass. Bayadera is basically a fairly simple cake which you'll definitely love, if for no other reason, then, because it's really fast for preparing (30 minutes), it's not baked, you don't need a lot of ingredients nor a mixer and what is really nice is that it's cut into pieces that look just perfect. The taste - of course is a real holiday, with lots of nuts, biscuits and chocolate, and if you want you can add a bit of spice or any rum which will give a fantastic scent. Anyway, it's an excellent cake!
Ingredients:
- 500 g sugar
- 500 g of crushed biscuits
- 200 g of crushed walnuts
- 175 ml milk
- 300 g butter
- 1 tablespoon cocoa
- 100 g dark chocolate
- 100 g dark chocolate
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Put milk, sugar and butter in a pot to boil and immediately move aside. Add biscuits and nuts in the hot liquid and stir well with a wooden spoon.
- The mixture is divided into 2 parts. In one part, add dark chocolate and cocoa.
- Put the dark part in a container roughly 20 x 30cm (or bigger) and finely align it using your hand. Then put the white part above.
- Shortly leave container in refrigerator, while you're preparing the glaze. Melt chocolate, oil and butter on steam and pour glaze on top.
- Allow to cool and tighten well and then cut onto bars (roughly 4 x 2cm).
