AMAZING FLUFFY DONUTS

Another great donuts recipe. Donuts turn out hollow and light, I love that in donuts since I can fill them later with cheese, cream or jam. You can decorate with melted chocolate on top, or as desired.

Ingredients:
  • 250 ml lukewarm milk
  • 1 cube yeast (40 g)
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 600 g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 100 ml mineral water
  • 50 g melted margarine
  • just a pinch of salt
  • lemon zest (optional)

Preparation:
  1. Activate yeast in the milk, add sugar and a little flour.
  2. Then add all the rest of the ingredients and knead a middle soft dough. Leave to rest on a warm place for 30 minutes.
  3. Then, roll out a crust about 1,5-2 cm thick and cut out circles with a glass. Leave again to rest for 10 minutes. I leave them on a baking paper or a towel so then won't stick on the table.
  4. Warm up a little more oil in a pot. The oil should be hot, but be careful not to burn donuts. Put cut out circles in the warm oil and first fry on one side, then flip the other until they get a beautiful golden color.
  5. I decorated several with chocolate glaze for my kids.
