EASY CREAMY LADYFINGER CHERRY CAKE

This is the simplest cake you can imagine, it is delicious and done in no time. The combination of biscuit, cherries and sour cream is perfect.
"Ladyfingers" or as we call them "Piškoti" (often referred to with their original Italian name, Savoiardi or spongy toes in Britain) are sweet spongy biscuits, shaped like a long finger. They are the main ingredient in many desserts. Ladyfingers originate from the end of the 15th century in the court of the Duke of Savoy and were created on the occasion of the visit of the king of France. They were later given the name Savoiardi and were recognized as "official" biscuits. They are especially appreciated by young court members and offered to visitors as a symbol of the local cuisine.


Ingredients:
  • 2 packs of ladyfingers (30 pcs)
  • 600 g of sour cream with 20% fat
  • 200 g of powdered sugar
  • 600 g of cherries (frozen or compote, well drained)
  • 2 whipped creams for above
Preparation:
  1. Mix well sour cream and sugar with a mixer.
  2. Then arrange one row of ladyfingers (3x5), 1/3rd of the sour cream, add the cherries and add the second third of the sour cream.
  3. Again put a row of ladyfingers, add the rest of the sour cream and add the whipped creams above.
  4. Decorate as desired. Put to cool well in a fridge.
