For this recipe I used wholewheat bread 7-8 days old. What kind of bread stays that long without spoiling is another question. Anyways, my first intention was to dip bread in eggs and make something like french toast. But as I like to experiment, I thought why not try to make pizza. I added some milk in the eggs, then cheese, salami, tomato sauce and made beautiful pizza. Really! You can add slices of tomatoes, peppers, onions, you name it!
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
- 9 slices of bread (or adjust to your baking tray)
- 3 eggs
- 150 ml of milk
- grated cheese for pizza
- grated ham
- 3-4 tablespoons of tomato sauce
- 2-3 tablespoons oil
- 5-6 olives
- spices salt, oregano
- Cover the baking tray with baking paper.
- Arrange the slices of bread, I put 8, and I ripped one up to fill the holes between the pieces of bread. If you use square form of bread, it will be easier for you. Mine were oval shaped.
- Using a fork, beat the eggs with milk and add grated ham and cheese, add tomato sauce and oil. Add salt to taste.
- Pour this mixture evenly over the bread. Put olives and oregano on top.
- Place the tray to bake in a heated oven at 180-200 degrees for about 20 minutes.
