CHICKEN IN CURRY SAUCE

The first time I tried curry, to be honest, I didn't like it. Too yellow and too strong for my taste back then. Then, I tried chicken in curry in many other restaurants and I started to enjoy it. With couple of experiments in my kitchen, I managed to make a beautiful chicken in curry sauce just as in restaurants. It's so simple and so quick - a recipe we all need when we're lacking time. Since I don't eat mushrooms, I didn't put any, but u can combine it with mushrooms and include them when frying the chicken steak.

  Ingredients:
  • 500 g chicken steak
  • 500 ml cooking sauce (unsweetened hopla)
  • 1 tbs curry in powder
  • 1 tbs vegeta (or just add salt)
  • black pepper
  • oil for frying
 Preparation:
  1. Cut chicken steak into small pieces and put to fry on oil until they become to get a beautiful golden color.  You can add the mushrooms here right at the beginning.
  2. Add the cooking sauce and the spices. Mix well and leave to cook for 2-3 more minutes until the sauce thickens a bit.
  3. I combined it with basmati rice which I only boiled in water for 15 minutes then drain it.
  4. Serve as in picture - separately serve the chicken from the rice and eat it by mixing them together. Beautiful!
