Ingredients:
- 500 ml of mineral sparkling water
- 2 packs of baking powder (20 g)
- 6 cups of flour
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 2 cups of sugar (plus 1 for the glaze)
- 2 cups of oil (and 2 tablespoons for the glaze)
- 3 tablespoons of cocoa (and another 50 g for the glaze)
- 100 g of chopped hazelnuts (half in the dough, half for sprinkling)
- 1 cup tap water for the glaze
Preparation:
- Mix all the ingredients for the dough: mineral water, sugar, flour, baking powder, cocoa, oil, half of the hazelnuts and cinnamon. Mix with a mixer to smooth the mixture. Pour the mixture in a round baking pan of 28-30 cm. It can be baked on baking paper, so you can easily remove it and transfer it to a serving plate.
- Bake in a heated oven at 150 C degrees for about 50 minutes.
- Before finishing the baking, prepare the glaze: add one cup of water to boil with 1 cup of sugar. When it starts to thicken, add the cocoa previously dissolved in cold water and 2 tablespoons oil. Stir well until the liquid is smooth and free of clumps and let it boil for a while and thickens a bit so it can be applied more easily. The glaze is applied in a hot and liquid state on the baked cake. Sprinkle the hazelnuts above the glaze.
- After cooling and hardening the glaze, serve the cake.
- Let your wishes be fulfilled!
