Pie is one of the most favorite dishes in Macedonia and beyond. Every recipe is different and delicious. And I always experiment. My first idea was to make burek, then, I changed my mind and thought why don't I make maznik, and in the end, I made something that looks like maznik and burek but tastes like gibanica lol. Delicious!
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
- 400 g of filo layers for pie
- 350 grams of white cheese (you can use ricotta)
- 180 g sour cream
- 50 ml yogurt
- 2 eggs
- 150 ml edible oil
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbs flour
- 100 ml mineral sparkling water
- Put cheese, yogurt, sour cream, eggs, oil, baking powder, flour and mineral water in a separate bowl and mix until a compact mixture is obtained.
- Take one filo layer and sprinkle with a little oil and mineral sparkling water. Align another layer, add filling evenly and roll.
- In a pre-greased baking tray, arrange the circularly prepared baking sheets until the pan is completely filled.
- Finally pour the pie with the remaining filling from above.
- Let the pie stand for a while. In the meantime preheat the oven. Bake at 180 C degrees for about half an hour or until the pie gets a beautiful golden color.
- Leave to rest for 10-15 minutes after baking, then, serve warm with a glass of yogurt.
