Delicious and aromatic pie that melts in your mouth and activates all your senses. Initially I just wanted to make it with pumpkin, but then I decided to add a few apples to make it more juicy. To make this pie you need to previously have baked or boiled pie. I used 3 pieces of the pumpkin I baked 2 days ago.
Ingredients:
Dough:
Ingredients:
Dough:
- 300 g flour (if necessary add more after dough is mixed)
- 1 egg
- 100 g of lard
- 150 g margarine or butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 100 ml of sour cream
- puree of 3 pieces of boiled or baked pumpkin
- 3 apples
- 3 tablespoons of dates syrup (or honey)
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 1 teaspoon mixture of cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and ginger
- Prepare the dough first, mix all ingredients, margarine or butter should be cold and cut into thin strips. Mix briefly to form a ball, if the dough is too sticky, add some flour.
- Place the dough for about 1 hour in a refrigerator covered with nylon.
- Prepare the filling.
- Grate the apples and fry as much as the water evaporates.
- Then add the pumpkin puree, mix well, add dates syrup, maple syrup or honey, add vanilla sugar and spices mixture. If you don't have any spices, just add cinnamon.
- Then divide the dough into 2 uneven pieces, 2/3 and 1/3rd.
- Place the larger part in an oiled or non-stick pan No.24 or 26. Spread it also on the sides of the pan.
- Arrange the filling.
- Roll out the other part of the dough in a thin crust and apply it in the desired shape. You can cut strips, make a spiral form like me or put a whole thin crust on top. Connect the ends.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 180 C degrees and 40 minutes at 150 C degrees.
- Leave to cool after baking and then sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
- As the pie stands becomes even softer and more mouth melting.
