I continue in the Bavarian spirit after the success of the pretzels. Soon after I made the pretzels, I found this beautiful recipe for similar, but simpler loaves. Delicious, soft and easy to make, everybody loves them. You can use the same dough to make pretzels.
Ingredients:
Dough
Ingredients:
Dough
- 500 g flour
- 250 ml of warm water
- 100 ml of oil
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- half a cube of fresh yeast (20 g)
- 500 ml of water
- 1 and a half tablespoon of baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- coarse salt
- a little butter to coat
- Dissolve the yeast in the water with the sugar.
- Then add the rest of the dough ingredients and mix in the dough. Knead a soft non stick dough. Allow it to rise for 1 hour.
- Then divide it into 16 pieces.
- Form a ball from each piece and flatten it slightly with your palm. Leave them uncovered for about 20 minutes.
- Boil the water with salt and soda. Place each ball in the boiling water for 10 seconds and place it first on a towel, then place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Cut each loaf 3 times with a sharp knife, sprinkle with coarse salt and bake at 180-200 C degrees for about half an hour or until well browned.
- After baking, coat with butter.
