We Macedonians love burgers and all variations of minced meat. Especially when we prepare it on a grill. This burger recipe is great for grilling, though you can also fry burgers on just a little oil on a grilling pan. I suggest you to use a little harder cheese that softens, but doesn't melt too much, so it won't go away from the burgers.
Ingredients:
- 300 g of minced pork meat
- 300 g of minced beef
- 1 chopped head onion
- 1 chopped clove of garlic
- 1 teaspoon Bukovska pepper
- 50 g smoked cubed bacon
- about 1 flat tbs salt
- black pepper
- 70 ml mineral sparkling water or water mixed with 1/2 tbs baking soda
- 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
- about 100 g grated cheese

Preparation:
- Add all ingredients (except for the cheese) in a deeper bowl and mix well. Knead with your hand if necessary. Leave thus prepared mixture in the fridge for several hours.
- Then, on an oiled surface, take from the mixture, put cheese in the middle, cоver with meat mixture and shape the burger.
- Fry on a just a little oil on a frying pan on one side until it has a nice color, then flip over and bake slightly shorter on the other. It's the best to grill burgers on a coal grill.
- Serve burgers with fries, salad, onions.
