The recipe for this wonderful cake is from my mother, it is delicious. I made it for her birthday on May 2 and I completely forgot that I didn't share the recipe. The cake is very tasty, not very complicated and you'll get around 15 pieces from this cake.
Ingredients:
Biscuit
- 10 egg whites
- 10 tablespoons sugar
- 4 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 250 g of crushed walnuts
- 1 sachet baking powder
- 1 liter of milk
- 3 sachets vanilla pudding in powder
- 8 tablespoons sugar
- 100 g of cooking chocolate
- 250 g butter
- 10 egg yolks
- a few tablespoons of nutella
- whipped cream for topping
- ladyfingers as needed to cover one layer
Preparation:
Finally, apply the whipped cream just above. Leave to cool, then serve.
- First prepare the biscuit. Beat the egg whites with the sugar with a mixer. Then add the breadcrumbs, flour, nuts and baking powder. Mix gently with a wooden spoon and pour the mixture on the baking tray from the oven lined with baking paper. Bake at 180 C degrees for about 10 minutes.
- Then prepare the filling. Dissolve the puddings in 200 ml of cold milk, add the egg yolks and mix. Boil the remaining milk with the sugar. Add the pudding with the dissolved yolks in the hot milk and mix until thickened. The pudding is then transferred to another bowl to cool, covered with plastic wrap to prevent crusting..
- After cooling, beat aside the butter and add the whipped butter to the cooled pudding and mix with a mixer. Divide the mixture into two parts. Add the melted chocolate to one part and mix. We get 2 fillings, one bright one dark.
- Cut biscuit into 2 parts.
Arrange the cake this way:
- put one layer of biscuit sponge cake,
- coat it with cocoa cream,
- put half of the brown filling,
- then arrange the ladyfingers,
- put the whole yellow filling over them,
- then put the second biscuit and
- coat the whole cake with the brown filling.
Finally, apply the whipped cream just above. Leave to cool, then serve.
