STUFFED MUSHROOMS WITH BACON AND CHEESE

I don't eat mushrooms due to allergies. I've end up in the hospital twice because of them :( That's why I stay away from mushrooms, I don't prepare them, and my husband adores them. I was afraid that I could get allergies through my skin if I touched them. But, there it is, my first close encounter with the evil mushrooms happened yesterday! I even liked being so close to them, so cute white sponge balls, they look pretty innocent, right? For me it is a challenge to do something that I haven't done before, I believe that it is for everyone.

I used fresh champignons (agaricus bisporus), probably one of the most used mushrooms in our country. I used 10 pieces and the nice thing about mushrooms is that they are made very quickly, don't require long heat treatment, so you have a ready meal in 20 minutes.

The given quantity is for 1.

Ingredients:

  • 10 fresh mushrooms (champignons)
  • 50 g smoked bacon (1.7 oz)
  • 50 g yellow cheese
  • olive oil
  • salt and spices to taste (oregano, basil, rosemary, black pepper, dried parsley)

Preparation:

  1. Wash the mushrooms and remove the stalks.
  2. Put the stalks, bacon and cheese in a chopper and chop them.

  3. Arrange the mushrooms in a baking tray (lined with parchment paper), add the spices and sprinkle with oil.
  4. Then fill each mushroom nicely with the mixture.

  5. Sprinkle some more spices on top and sprinkle a little oil.
  6. Bake at 200 C (390 F) degrees for about 10 minutes.
  7. Serve with a glass of white wine.
