CHIA/OATMEAL FRUIT YOGURT BREAKFAST

They say that breakfast is the most important meal during the day. I suggest a late breakfast, several hours after waking up. Let your body first use the reserves then give it a good fuel.

There are different variations of this breakfast, this is my favorite with chia seeds and oatmeal just because of the neutral taste that both have. Both are rich in fibers and minerals and fruits are rich in vitamins, choose yogurt with probiotics and you're all set.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds previously soaked in milk or water
  • 3 tablespoons oatmeal
  • 1 cup fruit yogurt
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons of blueberries and blackberries
  • date syrup or other syrup

Preparation:

  1. First soak the chia seeds in 1 cup of milk or water to swell. It takes a minimum of 1 hour so you can even do that in the evening.
  2. Mix the oat flakes in the fruit yogurt and add plain yogurt. Let them soak for about half an hour.
  3. Then put half of the oat flakes in the bowl in which you will serve them, then arrange the fruit and put the other half of the oat flakes. Place the chia seeds on top, then finish with a little more fruit and a little date syrup or another syrup of your choice.
  4. Enjoy your healthy breakfast!
