Do you know why the juice we buy is a little bitter and the squeezed juice is not? Because the juice is made from whole oranges, with a peel, and the squeezed orange juice not.
For the first time in my life I found unsprayed oranges, growing in the yard in a seaside place. So for this recipe I used whole oranges, and I peeled the lemons with a potato peeler and removed a thin layer from the surface. If you have homemade lemons, use them whole. This drink is a real Vitamin C source.
Ingredients:
- 5 lemons
- 2 oranges
- 2-3 tablespoons of honey
- cinnamon as desired
- water about 600 ml
Preparation:
- First, grind the lemons and oranges with water in 2 rounds with a food processor or a blender.
- Then strain the mixture through a strainer. The process is a bit slow and tedious, but worth it.
- The resulting liquid will be thick and concentrated. So add water to dilute and add honey and cinnamon. Stir until the honey and cinnamon are well dissolved.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your healthy wonderful drink.
