The basic ingredients of the traditional summer dish are peppers and tomatoes, and what you add in addition is your choice. I usually add eggs and onions, sometimes cheese, but I like to add cheese aside, not inside the dish. I added a few spoons of ajvar to this combination, it gives a beautiful flavor and uniformity to the dish, try it. You can even spread it on a slice of bread. This amount is for one very hungry person (in this case, that person was me and I ate it all).
Ingredients:
- 7-8 sweet peppers (green or red)
- 1 large tomato
- half an onion
- 3-4 cloves of garlic
- 4 tablespoons of ajvar
- 3 eggs
- a little olive oil for frying
Preparations:
- Cut the vegetables into pieces and put them together to fry until they are soft.
- Add the garlic at the end because it burns quickly.
- After about 15-20 minutes total frying time, beat the eggs aside with a fork and then add the ajvar.
- Mix and add this mixture to the fried vegetables.
- Fry briefly and transfer the food to a suitable container or you can eat directly from the pan. I usually eat from a pan, but for the sake of the photo I transferred the dish to an earthen dish lol.
- Combine with warm bread and cheese. And sour milk if you have.
