These delicious truffles are a must-have for New Year celebrations! With a delightful filling, they come in two variations—half coated in chocolate and the rest in coconut. Perfect for sharing with friends and family, this recipe is simple, tasty, and festive!
Ingredients:
- 1 pack of Petit Beurre cookies (or any plain tea biscuits)
- 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons of cognac (or milk for a non-alcoholic version)
- 1 cup of shredded coconut
- 1 cup of finely grated walnuts
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar or 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions:
-
Prepare the base:
Grind the Petit Beurre cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by crushing them in a zip-lock bag with a rolling pin. -
Mix the ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed cookies, condensed milk, cocoa powder, cognac, shredded coconut, walnuts, and vanilla. Mix everything thoroughly until the ingredients form a firm and sticky dough. -
Shape the truffles:
Wet your hands with water to prevent sticking, then take small portions of the dough and roll them into balls. You can make the truffles any size you prefer, but bite-sized pieces work best. -
Add the finishing touches:
- Roll half of the truffles in shredded coconut until they are fully coated.
- For the other half, melt chocolate (milk or dark) and dip the truffles into the chocolate, letting any excess drip off. Place them on parchment paper to set.
-
Optional step:
If you don’t want to use coconut or melted chocolate, you can roll the truffles in cocoa powder or crushed nuts instead. -
Serve and enjoy:
Allow the truffles to set completely before serving. Store them in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for longer freshness.
These truffles are an easy and versatile treat, perfect for festive occasions. Enjoy!
